The stunning gardens at Edenhouse, Orinoco Valley

Lodge Gardens

Edenhouse is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, even by New Zealand standards. Nestled in the stunning Orinoco Valley in the Nelson – Abel Tasman region, Edenhouse and its extensive gardens are the “creation” of Peter and Bobbie Martin. The officially assessed “New Zealand Luxury Lodge” and its gardens commenced life in 2005 when the Martins returned to Bobbie’s native New Zealand after living overseas for many years.

A Vision That Became The Six-Star Luxury Lodge We See Today

The bare land of 50 acres was perfect for Bobbie’s vision to create her own piece of paradise. Whilst living in London, she studied at The Inchbald School of Design, Belgravia, followed by The English Gardening School, situated at The Chelsea Physic Garden. She then established her own interior and garden design company, located in London and West Sussex, where she practiced for 15 years.

Tatler describes Edenhouse as “an instant word-of-mouth winner”.
